Message from the President

The FAPT Executive Committee met on January 16 and 17, 2008 to complete plans for the 2008 Summer Conference at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The Summer Conference will be held from July 8 through July 10, 2008. The Sawgrass, located in the north end of St. Johns County, has hosted our conference on two other occasions and has provided great service for all aspects of our conference.
As in the past, we will have an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Pre- Conference Workshop on Sunday, July 6, and Monday, July 7, 2008. The Conference itself will be followed by Drug and Alcohol Testing training on Thursday afternoon, July 10, and Friday morning, July 11, 2008. The schedule of events and activities will be posted to the website as it is completed.
We hope you are able to attend the 61st FAPT Annual Conference this summer. The presentations, quality of the folks presenting, and the vendor displays will be excellent as they have been in years past. We believe the Conference will provide us with an opportunity to receive information that will be useful in our service to the public school children in Florida.
